Hello and welcome to Psychology in Cyberspace!

I am Mrs. Amy Graham and I will be teaching your psychology class this semester!

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in Paris, Texas. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Texas, Arlington. From there, I moved to sunny Pensacola, Florida to pursue my Masters Degree in Psychology at the University of West Florida. http://www.uwf.edu/psych/.
Well, I figured if I had to suffer through graduate school, it would be in my best interest to be near a beautiful beach to save my sanity! While in graduate school, I interned with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (yes, a prison) as a therapist and clinician. It was here in Pensacola, I met my wonderful husband, Nick (No, not in the prison!) who at the time was going through military training at Pensacola Naval Air Station. I married the man of my dreams and then received the great news of our new assignment, Seymour Johnson AFB!

After almost three years at Seymour Johnson AFB and Wayne Community College, we knew it was time for the Air Force to give my husband and I a new assignment. Thankfully, WCC allowed me to keep my full-time job and transferred my previous position of a full-time instructor (teaching on the campus in a classroom) to a full-time distance education instructor! After the Fall semester of 2006, we moved to Moody Air Force base in Valdosta, Georgia for a short training assignment. Now we are in Columbus, Mississippi for about three years or so.

I enjoy reading, going to the beach, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. I am a new mommy of my son, Kellen, and I do have a sassy, little winnie dog named “Rosie” and a crazy kitten named “Tigger”. I will post photos later!

I know you will find this course worth your time and effort; what you “get” from this course will be directly related to what you put into it.
