Hi – I am Ashton T. Griffin and I have been teaching chemistry 151 and 152 at WCC since 2003, full-time since the fall 2005.  Prior to that I was a science teacher for 8 years at Southern Wayne High School and for 3 years at Spring Creek High School.  I also have 10 years of experience as a working chemist in the pharmaceutical and hazardous waste disposal industries.

I am a 30 year member of the American Chemical Society.  I am also a member of the executive board of PENC – the Professional Educators of North Carolina – the voice for educators.

I enjoy reading, cooking, attending sporting events and spending time with my wife Paula who is the christian education director at St Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Goldsboro, NC.  I also run the clock and scoreboard for the Mount Olive College basketball team from November through March.

Thankfully basketball practice started on October 15th.
