I am probably one of the oldest in the Honors program at Wayne. When we took that trip to UNC, I felt young again. A kid in a candy store is what I felt like. The rare book collection ranks in on my list of one of the coolest things, I have ever witnessed. I love plays and we had an opportunity to watch The Glass Menagerie. I also enjoyed talking with the instructors along our trip. It enabled me to connect to them on a different level other than just in the classroom. It proved to me that the teachers at WCC really care about us. They want us to reach our goals and become succesfull! My deepest thanks to The Foundation for financing our trip to UNC. We enjoyed the adventure!

I had a great time on our trip to Chapel Hill Thursday with those wonderful students! Days like that make teaching worthwhile. Thank you for organizing the trip and for all you do to make the Honors Program posible at WCC. Wasn't the play outstanding?I've never seen "The Glass Menagerie" with Tom as a separate entity, narrating the story, looking like Tennessee Williams, and she was the best Amanda I've ever seen! Here's hoping some of our students apply to attend my alma mater, the oldest university the country. Meanwhile, they all learned a lot about their state's history and enjoyed smoozing on Franklin Street.

I absolutely loved the rare book collection. The first edition Hawthorne was my absolute favorite. What an incredible treat. A big thanks to Mrs. Baddour for arranging this experience for us. I also enjoyed the play, The Glass Menagerie. Our class had already read the play and watched the movie, and I think that we all agreed that the play was far better than the movie version and truly brought the characters to life. What a great experience!

The UNC trip was AWESOME! I think one of my most favorite parts was the rare book collection. There were books hundreds of years old. These are literary masterpeices and we got to touch them! This trip has given me an experience that I value deeply because otherwise I may never have visited UNC and been able to see their wonderful historic campus.
