- Visitor parking spaces are for VISITORS ONLY! The fine for this is $5.
- Students, faculty and staff must register their cars to park on campus.

- The North Carolina penalty for passing a school bus displaying its “STOP” sign is 7 points. Do not drive past any school bus displaying its “STOP” sign.

FINANCIAL AID MESSAGES
- VA students please stop by the Financial Aid office to see Elvira Simmons, VA Certifying Official to submit a copy of your PAID Fall Semester 2009 schedule for certification and to avoid any delays in payment. Also, we can be reached at 919-735-5151 ext. 749.
- All students should report change of address or phone updates to the Office of Admission and Records. Reporting these changes helps to ensure accurate mailing of important materials.
EDUCATIONAL BENEFIT OPPORTUNITY
Program Description: Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA). This program promises to provide $6,000 of Financial Assistance for military spouses to further their education.
Who is Eligible: Spouses of active duty and active National Guard and Reserve service members.
How Do I Get Started? For more information, you must go to: https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa. This is an easy, self-help process. Once spouse profile information is provided, DOD will verify MyCAA eligibility.

Golden LEAF Scholarship

- This scholarship awards up to $750 to eligible students. Applications may be picked up in the Financial Aid Office.
AES Engineering Solutions

- Available to high school seniors and currently enrolled students.
- To apply, write essay answering one of the following questions in 1,000 words or less:

NC REACH

- Educational Assistance for Adoptees and Foster Youth.
- Open to individuals who have aged out of the foster care system at age 18 or have been adopted from NC Foster Care after their 12th birthday.

FREEDOM ALLIANCE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
- Available to dependent children of US soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, or Guardsmen who have been killed or permanently disabled (100% VA disability rating) as a result of an operational mission or training accident, or who is classified as a prisoner of war (POW) or missing in action (MIA).
- A high school senior, high school graduate, or registered as a full time undergraduate student.
- Under the age of 26.

PERSONAL COUNSELING FOR STUDENTS
Do you feel stressed-out, overwhelmed, or anxious? Would you like to work on managing your time better, decrease test-taking anxiety, or improve your personal relationships?
