Nursing@Ovid

Nursing @ Ovid Logo

One of our newest databases is Nursing@Ovid, full of timely and authoritative information for nursing faculty and students. Full-text content of over sixty nursing journals can be cross-searched or browsed in this new database.  Other relevant medical databases are also linked for simultaneous searching through the Nursing@Ovid interface.  A particularly interesting feature of Nursing@Ovid is the electronic journal tables of contents (eTOCs) option. With eTOCs you can track changes in a selected journal’s table of contents, or be notified when the newest issue is available to view, by setting up your own RSS feed or e-mail alert. Visit the WCC library webpage to access this database, as well as one or more of the many other research databases now available. Contact us at 739-6891 or wcc-library@waynecc.edu for more information about using any of these databases, or with any other research questions!

Introducing JSTOR!

In conjunction with our new EZ Proxy software, we are now proud to announce the addition of JSTOR to the many other databases that we offer at the WCC Library. JSTOR “offers a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive to support scholarship and teaching. It includes archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. The entire corpus is full-text searchable, offers search term highlighting, includes high-quality images, and is interlinked by millions of citations and references.” We are very excited to be able to offer JSTOR to our faculty, staff and students for use in their studies and research.
