About

I teach General Biology (Bio 111), Microbiology (Bio 175, Bio 275) and Forensic Biology (CJC 250) and I team teach Trace Evidence (CJC 146) with Brad Lanier.

And here are some extracurricular things, because teachers are people, too.

I am married to the lovely Michelle, and we have three children:  Todd, Christopher and Melanie.

I am a voracious and eclectic reader, and my favorite author is P.G. Wodehouse.

I am a musician and composer.  My primary instruments are guitar, Irish bouzouki, keyboards and bass.  My favorite groups are The Beatles, The Ventures, The Atomic Mosquitos, The Tannahill Weavers and Planxty.  I have played in rock bands, Mexican bands and church choirs.

My two favorite outdoor activities are riding my bicycle and geocaching.

I am a licensed ham radio operator.

I am a published short story author, with my work appearing, among other places, in Aphelion and Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine.

The picture at the top of the page is of an Irish bouzouki made by Phil Crump.

So now you know.
